I need to get one of my bottom molder's implanted. I lost it about 2 years ago to an abscess. The general estimates I've gotten is between 1 million to 1.5 million, and takes about 3-6 months.

Can anyone recommend an exceptionally good and cheap specialist in northern Seoul. And how much they'd charge? Please list specialists only. General dentists aren't the best for something like this.

I got a 1-day implant for 2 million.
The dentist gave me a general, 90 mins later woke me up and the implant was in my jaw. The dentist also left a capsule of painkiller around the area so pain was minimal, but swelling was evident.

3 months after the implant I returned for 3-4 fitting sessions for the teeth.
I was getting crown work done at the same time.

I had 3 done with synthetic bone (500K) added as well. You may not need the synthetic bone as it's only been 2 years since you lost the original.
Maybe you do need some synthetic bone which may push it up to 6 months.

The place I went to was in the IS tower near exit 3 at Gangnam. 퍼스트 치과 on the 12th floor.
The convenience of reduced number of visits and therefore less pain overall was a big factor for me.
English limited, but sufficient.

Thanks that really good info. Gangnam's a bit far for me. But, a 1 day drill with anesthesia and only 5 visits. More than justifies the cost. I forgot to mention that I really, really want to be knocked out, just the idea of having titanium screws drilled into my jaw is one of the reasons I've been putting it off for so long. Thanks for bringing it up.

Do you have the guy's contact number?

And by the way, after your first visit. How many days did you have to wait before you could eat solid food again?

Yea I was typing in a rush. Can you suggest a place? Or was it just a grammar thing?

This is the website
The general was 300k, but given as service with implants.
I didn't have hot drinks that day I think and couldn't eat spicey or crunchy food for a week. School prepared rice porridge every day for me. I was told to avoid any hard knocks for the first day or so as the synthetic bone would've been solidifying.
My wifes uncle went weekly to get an implant screwed in a bit more each week and he detested it. My local dentist told me there was no such thing as pain-free implants, but this was nearly it.

When I went for a check-up at this place, they charged 60k for the rotating 3D scan round the jaw, but gave it free if treatment commenced. The dentist can tell you how thin your jaw is to within about .1mm.
A segment on part of an upper jaw has gone down to 2.5mm so I should get something else done if I ever have spare cash again. Last time was just to give me some chewing teeth which I had been missing for over 10 years.

Reception staff had basic English, telephone may be difficult.

Thanks nobby, I'll get a friend to call. By any chance, are you smoker? If you are, did you have to do a temporary quit for that week you were on soft food cause the tooth / gum was too weak?
