|
|
| I have a problem opening certain web pages and I think they are pdf files. Every time I click on a link to one, I get a message that Internet Exlorer had a problem with the web page and it shuts down. I can't figure out what the problem is. What program do I need to get or update? This is especially irritating because I am looking at grad schools and I can't open some of the pages I need to see. |

I like the feel of Firefox better than Chrome.
But I think we can all agree that Internet Explorer can go away. |

Nope, we can't. I like IE8 and IE9. The only reason I use Chrome is the syncing of bookmarks and the fact that my wife hates my password manager so I leave it out of IE so it doesn't bother her. |

| Why in the.... would you use IE? It is slower than Chrome and Firefox. It STILL has bug issues (guess it takes Microsoft more than 15 years to sort out its applications) and the UI is ugly. Time to remove yourself from the stone-age download Chrome or Firefox. |

how about that most Korean sites, sensible or not, require IE as the browser? from activex to just plain layout of sites, the way korean web devs make sites is catered to what 99% of the korean market uses...ie.
firefox cant get rid of its memory leaks, or how about the oversimplified mess that is the chrome menu? no browser is perfect |

I love opera, doesn't have the memory issues of firefox, fast as hell and has everything you need built in, from bookmark and note syncs, RSS manager, password manager, web server, hell even has a torrent downloader (don't use it tho) |

Firefox and Chrome both have Add-ons or extensions that allow you to run the IE engine in their browser, and in FF (which I used the most) it allows you to automatically use the IE engine for certain websites.
Note that none of those work on a Mac, as Mac doesn't have IE, from which the extensions draw the functionality. |
