|
|
I don't usually get homesick but these days I really need some comfort food. Where in Seoul can I get the best cheesecake? I plan on having a few people over so I want to buy a whole cake. I've tried the cheesecake from Costco, but is there anything better out there?
Thanks in advance! |

When I was there, the closest thing I could find to good authentic cheesecake like back home was from Outback. |

Maybe it's not reasonable to do, but I've had good luck making cheesecake. Just mini-cheesecakes in the toaster oven can be done. |

We loved the cheesecake at Suji's in Itaewon. It's a New York style deli complete with corn beef hash, pastrami, corned beef and yes, cheesecake.
You can read our review, take a look at our photos and even get a map and directions here on our website:

They also have a Wednesday night special: mile-high pastrami sandwiches. Twice the meat for the same price!
Enjoy. |

I just tried some plain cheesecake from Homeplus/Tesco and it wasn't bad at all-- 8,000 won in the frozen foods section-- Leave it out in room temperature for about 2-3 hours and it's ready. They also have a berry cheesecake and a chocolate mousse cake. There was also a Philadelphia (brand) cheesecake, but that was 14,000 for the same size. Tesco wasn't too shabby... |
