Have any of the non-Samsung Android phones from the last 6 months made it over to Korea yet? I just convinced Verizon here in the US to replace my under-warranty Droid 1 with a Droid Incredible, and I'm happy. I'm wondering how quickly they get over there. I'm sure they'd be named differently, but I'm wondering about the Evo (obviously not 4g though?), Droid X or Incredible, etc.

Even though the Galaxy S came out months later, I much prefer my DInc to the Galaxy S. Is 2.2 out for the S there yet? I heard there was a Galaxy K coming out, hopefully the resolution looks better than that of the S and has less craptastic UI...

The K (much like the U) uses a 3.7" Amoled screen with the same res as the 4" Super Amoled screen on the S. Everything else about the phones are pretty much the same - they are just for different carriers. So it won't look as good as the Galaxy S.

2.2 with Froyo is coming any day now, we're all waiting.

Touch Wiz UI isn't so bad but it's quite generic and looks like an obvious iphone wannabe. You can get around this by using Launcher Pro or any of the other launchers. Launcher pro runs better than Touch Wiz (prior to Froyo) and functions a heck of a lot better too.

I'll add that yes there's android phones from Motorolla, HTC (including the Nexus One), Sky (Pantech), LG and a few others available here. It is clearly Galaxy S land though...

Are the Android phones in Korea (and plans) more expensive than in American? Is it possible to bring over a phone from the States to use there for a year? (I have an HTC Evo that I got a few months ago..... and didn't decide to go to Korea until recently).
