I can't wait until Christmas and I can get the hell out the garbage pile known as Korea! Typical day here, drive to work, almost get in a wreck because some Korean asshole pulls out in front of me without looking. I get to work to find my desk has been gone thru AGAIN and things are missing. I have 5 classes in a row today and need to make hundreds of copies, but as usual, the copy machine doesn't work! It's not even 9 am yet!!!
I can't wait to get out of here, I honestly hope there is a war between the North and South and SK get blown off the map! *beep* this place, *beep* these stupid ass people!!! |

You sound like a very sensible and easy going person.
You do realize that 1.pulling out into traffic without looking 2. annoying coworkers 3. broken copy machines are not Korea specific phenomenons? |

Sorry you're having a really bad day. Hopefully, it will be better tomorrow.

Just needed to vent! Little bastards got into my "locked" desk and stole money and a metal coffee cup I've had for nearly 10 years. It wasn't worth much money, but it was birthday gift from a very good friend. After 10 years straight and 4 years in EPIK, I am BURNT! Spoiled brat, uninterested students, idiot coworkers that never tell me anything. On and on........ I can't wait to get to the end of my contract and get out of here before I really lose it. |

While I don't want them to get blown away by North Korea, I certainly can't wait to get on out of here. I really feel like this place sucks away your soul slowly. Everywhere you go in the country things are the same For people who like it here, good for you. It's just not my cup of tea. I can't wait to live in a place with true diversity again and where every place isn't a carbon copy of the last place I was. |

Lol. Wow, Korea has changed me a bit. I think, once upon a time, I would have had the same reaction as the OP. Instead, I am signing for another year. That said, the place where I work now is much better than the place I worked my first two years. Then again, I have never driven in Korea, and never will. |

I, too, am looking for a change of venue next year. I have been here for 2 years and I am just not liking it as much anymore. My public school is being stupid right now and I most likely won't get a re-sign because kids didn't sign up for my After school classes. My neighborhood is very ethnic and old and it is just not enjoyable living here. I feel that it is time to move on and see what other parts of the world have in store for me. I'm definitely not going back to the US right now, It's terrible. |

Yep. If you see me at Incheon, I'll be the old fat guy, with a huge grin - laughing my butt off.
If you see me on the plane, I'll be the old fat laughing guy chatting up the Thai flight attendants, while chowing down on Thai food.
Good luck. I'll keep a eye out for you. |

Ah, so you're old fat guys. That's probably why you're treated so poorly. Maybe if you were handsome aged gentlemen you would get better treatment. |

Ten years - straight. I think this has to be some kind of record. I'm interested: what possessed you to stay that long???? Did you marry in? Did you turn Injun? I guess you'll be needing a security van to help you carry all that money to Incheon. |

It's interesting how the country of Korea can become an easy target for someone who may not be happy their life to simply blame everything on. Bad coworkers = Korea is bad. Photocopy machine doesn't work = Korea is bad. This seat is uncomfortable = Korea is bad. I have a headache = Korea is bad.
Come on now... It's not the country, it's your state of mind...
Don't blame Korea. Korea, numba one. |
