I'm moving to Seoul in a couple months and looking for a gym to join. I'll be near the Nokbeon subway stop in the north part of Seoul. My instructor at the Y found the following info for me on gyms in Seoul that have the Les Milles bodypump and spinning classes (which I currently do):

1. Muscle Factory Gym - SEOUL 962-1 Mok-dong Yangcheon-gu
2. Double H Multi Gym - Pyeong-Hwa B/D 629-15 Shinsa-Dong Kangnam-Gu
3. Muscle Factory Gym - Number 813-4 Yeoksam-dong
4. M Athletic Square - Designer Club BldG 85-4 Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-Gu

Does anyone know anything about these gyms and membership fees? Or any other gyms that may not cost so much?

Those places are all an hour plus, each way, from where you live. That's an AWFUL long time to spend going back and forth to the gym. Based on the locations and reputations of those gyms, your membership fees will be outrageous, too.

Double H in Sinsa is the "gym of the stars" and boasts some pretty high level clientele. I have no idea how much the memberships are, but I'd expect to pay over $200/month.

You're searching for a very specific, trendy workout program...but Korea is a bit behind the curve in the fitness world.

If you search around your neighborhood and a bit further south (Gyeongbukgung/Jongno/City Hall) you should be able to find a good gym that does group exercise, spinning classes, and the like. It won't break the bank, and you won't spend half your week going to and from the gym.

Ha. I had no idea those gyms were so expensive and far. I'll have to ask my co-teachers about gyms in my area. Thanks!
