Am having a bit of a nightmare trying to book somewhere to stay for a few nights on these islands. Trawling through the plethora of online sites is driving me demented. Also a lack of credit card and the fact that many of these places seem to cater to a minimum of two people sharing is proving a hindrance. I will be traveling alone and am considering just landing to these islands and trying to find a place on the day. Would people advise this approach? I will be traveling in mid January so imagine it could be quite busy. Can anyone recommend a place they stayed on these islands? Not looking for anything too flash,20-25 bucks a night would be my budget.

| You'd probably be ok just winging it. Alternatively, once you're in country you could have a travel agent arrange stuff in person, and then pay in cash. You can't spit w/o hitting a travel agent in thailand. |
