hi all,
if any of the forum experts can please advise...
my filipina wife has received a C3 tourist visa (from korean embassy in manila) and she intends to change over to the F3 visa when she gets to Korea (in december)
Does she need to get the CFO sticker in her passport? (My wife already has her CFO certificate)
She is changing over to the F3 visa (which does require the CFO sticker) but my Visa Agent in Manila is saying that she doesn't need the CFO sticker in her passport becuase she has a C3 tourist visa (not an immigrant visa)

As long as she has her CFO certificate as a spouse of a foreigner she will be fine (carry it with her if it is the big one or staple it to the back page of her passport if it is the little one).
The problem (if any) will arise at the airport in the RP where they decide whether or not to let her out of the country as a married (to a foreigner) women without the CFO sticker.
If the passport is in her maiden name she will NOT be able to change it to her married name without the CFO sticker (piece of paper actually) stapled into the back of it.
Immigration here won't care as long as the name in the passport matches the name on the marriage certificate.

| On a side note, make sure she has your phone number when she arrives in Korea. Immigration might call you to confirm you are married and where you will be living. |
