So, I got internet installed two days, and I left my laptop at school that day so the day after the technicians left I had to enter the user/pass they gave me and internet was working fine (that was yesterday). Today morning, I turn on the computer and no internet access (theres a little exclamation mark next to the network icon on the bottom right corner.. it doesn't go to the 'qook logon screen' or anything, just 'page cannot be displayed'.

Anyone know what the problem could be?

thanks!

Hmmm, let me think for a moment....

You are trying to access the internet. When you do, it takes you to the ISPs log-in page...

Hmmm, this is tough. I might have to get some help from a detective or private investigator, but you might need to log in to access the internet.

If I have the time, I'll call a couple of high-price PIs that I have "worked" with in the past, but it'll cost a pretty penny to enlist their help in solving this dastardly mystery.

Sounds like you need to learn to read posts better. You made yourself look stupid.

OP-- go to Network and Sharing Center. Click on "Change adapter settings." Right click "Local Area Network" and choose "Diagnose" -- or "Repair" if you have that option. See if that does it for you, usually fixes any/most problems. You can also choose to "disable" the Local Area Network, and then "Enable" it again.

And if all else fails (which I hope not), you can just call the center. They'll send a tech, fix your problem, free of charge.
