I'm kind of pushing it with the timeline for my next job.
When I eventually get my visa issuance number, I'll only have about a week before my job starts, so I was wondering if any of the embassies in the US offer that kind of next day visa processing I've gotten in Japan and Thailand.
The few embassies I called said it takes 3 or 4 days plus shipping time. |

I'm not sure if it varies, but when I went to the Atlanta consulate for my interview for my e-2 visa, after the interview I got my visa the next morning at 10:30. So it was a quick turnaround, and then that same day I flew out. But then again, I guess the timeline was 3 days in all, as I dropped the docs off the day before the interview, then picked up the docs the morning after the interview. But you can still fly out that day as long as your flight is not in the morning.
You might try contacting one of the consulates and explaining the situation. It can't hurt. |
