|
|
This is a stupid question but so far I've searched around Google and haven't been able to find an answer.
The last time I applied to Korea the requirements were quite a bit different so I've never done this from Canada before.
Anyway, my employer is telling me that they want my degree and criminal background check apostilled. I called up a lawyer relative to ask about getting documents apostilled and she had never even heard of it before.
What is the quickest way to get this done? Where can I get it done?
I take it I have to have my degree notarized first and apostilled second? |

You have to send your documents to the nearest Korean Consulate. The will apostil them and send them back to you. Go to the Korean Consulate website and there are step by step instructions on their website.

there is no apostille in canada. get it notarized by a lawyer and send originals and notarized copies to the consulate for them to notarize as well. they need other docs as well check their website. |

Yes you have to get them notarized, then take them to the consulate and get a sticker/seal.
I used red seal notary, just search for them, they have a few branches around GTA (if you are from there), otherwise just search on Google for some place near you. |

I will confirm what the others have said. The documents don't need to be apostilled but they need to be notarized by your nearest Korean consulate. For me, the nearest consulate was in Montreal so I sent my documents with the fee and they mailed it back. Everything you need to send will be on their website. |
