| I ended up at a goshiwon for a month, at Seocho Station. I've been cooped up all day and would like to take a stroll in a decent neighborhood for strolling that isn't too far away. Anyone have any suggestions?? |

| I stayed near Seocho for a while. There's a nice park, you can do some light hiking there. Also, a nice place to chill on a sunny day (Parc Montmartre IIRC). Also, the "French street" is pretty nice but quite spendy. Other than that, Seocho is a 10 minute walk from Gangnam and really close to KyoDae. |

| Just don't mess around Intelligence Command at the end of the road. You can walk towards Seoul High School to get to Bangbae Station. (right turn and over the hill, that is) |

Is that what that is? I walk by there all the time and for the life of me, I can't figure out what top secret activity might be going on behind those barriers.
Additionally, OP, I live right near there if you'd like to get together for coffee or something. I can tell you what I know about the area. |

Oops, I said too much already. I don't wanna get picked up by NIS and taste Sollongtang through my nostril hanging upside down...
Nah, the location itself is no secret to the public as it is mentioned in government's urban planning reports every once in a while. What's handled in there, OTOH, is indeed something to kill somebody for. |

If you enjoy the big city atmosphere, Gangnam/Yeoksam is pretty closeby (2 & 3 subway stops away on the green line). Otherwise, like someone mentioned earlier, there's a nice park/hiking area near the Seocho subway station.
PM me if you visit Gangnam and enjoy coffee and/or Paris Baguette (sp?) and want some English-speaking company! I feel like my already-mediocre English is deteriorating at a rapid pace. |
