|
|
I have applied to the EPIK Programme for the March 2011 intake and my first choice is Gangwon Do.
I have read that they offer 5-7 weeks of vacations. Is this true? If so how do they split up the weeks? In other words how many weeks do teachers get in summer (and when?) and how many weeks do you get in winter (and when?)
Is there anyone on this forum that works in Gangwon Do province that could answer my question??????
It would be much appreciated. |

No, Gangwondo doesn't have Internet access!
I'm in Gangwondo. The current contract states 5 weeks of paid vacation during the year. 2 of those weeks should be taken in the summer, usually between mid to late July to the middle of August. Then 3 weeks in winter usually between Christmas and late February. If you renew you get an additional 2 weeks of vacation.
Let me know if you have any additional questions about Gangwondo. |

Also in Gangwon but my vacation times are slightly different. I get 4 weeks in Winter and 2 in Summer. Although there is a hiring freeze going on , I know that some schools are looking for GETs in Gangwondo. Apply and try your luck. |

To "Patrick Bateman" and "Zongal2012"
Would you be able to PM me? I haven't reach the required amount of posts that allows me to PM other members.
I have several more questions for you both. If you could PM me with your e-mail details so I can contact you that would be great.
Thanks |

reliable sources are saying Gangwon is not hiring ANY new EPIK teachers for like 2-3 years. |
Who's been feeding you that BS.
A friend of mine told me that they are looking for about 200 new teachers there. |
