Dude, that's about as far from Hongdae as you can get in Seoul.

Check out what some call "lover's lane" at Sinchon Station, just one stop from Hongdae. Walk out exit #4 and hang a left down any of the side streets. That back alley is lit up like Las Vegas and has a full range of decent hotels. You should be able to find a room that suits your needs without a problem.

There is a decent place called the 'Bobo Hotel' on the corner of Picaso Street. You'll find it right on the main road between Hongdae and Hapjeong Stations. There's another place across the street and down the road a bit that is cheaper.

Sinchon is your best bet. The back alleys are littered with lovehotels.
