I think what's going on here is that Israel is in danger of losing subsidies it already had, unless it agrees to stop building. But for whatever reason they spun the story. Either that or this is the biggest bargaining fail ever. |

The Obama administration has not yet presented Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with the written details of a package of incentives it offered in exchange for a temporary freeze in West Bank construction, senior Israeli officials said Tuesday.
We still do not have a final proposal in writing that can be discussed in depth, Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz told Army Radio. |

"Barry, sure, your offer sounds good but we don't trust you. Put it in writing and we'll think about it."

The plan proposed by the American administration calls for a 90-day extension of the moratorium on building West Bank settlements in return for a series of incentives including the sale of 20 new fighter jets to Israel and certain guarantees in United Nations discussions. The previous ten-month settlement construction ban expired in September. |

This is like giving a bully candy to make him stop beating up kids in the class for 90 minutes. Once the candy runs out the bully will resume beating up the other kids. |

Israeli officials believe Mrs. Clinton offered the planes free of charge, according to a senior Israeli official. But an American official said Israel must pay some of the $3 billion, though it will be subsidized by the United States. The question, this official said, is how large a subsidy Israel will get: it paid one-third of the cost of the first 20 F-35s it bought from the United States. |

Good analogy, but its even worse than that. Not only is the US giving the bully candy to stop bullying for a short while, but its giving the bully steroids, boxing lessons, and brass knuckles- without which this bully would not have the strength to be a bully in the first place. |

Israel does not threaten her neighbours, Iran does. Who's the bully exactly?
The planes will go some way toward improving strike capability for any potential raid on Irans nuclear plants. Eventually. But we're talking years into the future. The planes will only be delivered in 2016. And even then it is only a 3rd of what Israel needs. |

With the US handing out all these fighter jets there must be a more plausible explanation. Like maybe aliens from outer space are coming to invade us soon and the world is preparing in it's own way
Speaking of which, have you seen the trailer for Battle: Los Angeles ? |

The US has realised talking to Ahmedinajad is not bearing fruit. And they'd rather Israel has the capability to sort out the problem before they have to. |

That's funny because the Israeli government is thinking the exact same thing. They want the US to get their goy soldiers do the work and get maimed or killed before precious Israeli soldiers have to go in. It also gives Israel even worse international face by attacking Iran first. |

Israel would have already acted unilaterally if the US had not held them back.
Israel needed to update its F-15's to newer technology (F-35's) to be certain of a succesful operation against Iran. Russia has been installing S-300's in Iran and Syria which would apprehend any strike.
But Obama has been refusing to sell, insisting on diplomacy instead. |

When Israel gets F-35's, China will have them a week later! Israel is an ally the USA does NOT need!
Ex-AIPAC Official Threatens to Uncover Mass Spying at Israel Lobby
By Daniel Tencer
November 21st, 2010
http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2010/11/official-uncover-mass-spying-israel-lobby/
Rosen says his actions (spying) were common practice at the organization. He said his next move is to show that AIPAC, Washingtons major pro-Israeli lobbying group by far, regularly traffics in sensitive U.S. government information, especially material related to the Middle East. |

On the contrary. Israel not only props up the dollar by buying massive blocks of US currency, it also spends huge amounts in helping the american arms industry. It also supplies the US with much-needed intelligence via mossad.
Quote: |
What is forgotten in this administration is that Israel has been an ally that has paid dividends exceeding its costs. Yes, Israel receives $3 billion annually in military aid, but 70 percent is used to purchase American military equipment and provides jobs at home. Further, the United States and Israel are working jointly to improve missile defense capabilities, and they have cooperated on countermeasures against roadside bombs, the largest single cause of U.S. casualties in Iraq and Afghanistan. These are already providing security to U.S. civilians and ground troops throughout the Middle East. Israel also provides U.S. officials with real-time access to one of the best intelligence services in the world regarding al Qaeda, Hezbollah, Iran, and Hamas.
Finally, there is Israel's strategic location on the Mediterranean. It provides a port of call for U.S. troops, ships, aircraft, and intelligence sources, and a place where arms, fuel, munitions, and other supplies can be stockpiled and accessed when America needs them in the region. The country also offers access to the Red Sea. One analyst has described Israel as a "strategic aircraft carrier" in a chaotic part of the world. What would have been the cost in American blood and treasure if Saddam Hussein had developed nuclear weapons, or if Syria possessed them? Israeli forces in 1981 destroyed the nearly finished reactor at the Osirak facility near Baghdad, and in 2007 similarly attacked a suspected nuclear facility in Syria. This is the short list of all the contributions that Israel has made in terms of military and intelligence cooperation with the United States. |

Dropping Israel is not going to suddenly make Islamists your friend. Muslims do not hate America because of Israel. Its because you are non-believers and because of your way of life.
If you turned your back on Israel they would sense weakness and step up their efforts against the west. |

The CIA has said on numerous occasions that Muslim extremists attacked on 9/11 due to American ME foreign policy.
So ya, I get it you worship Israel and it can do no wrong. I get it. |

You'll still be an infidel wether you support Israel or not.
Do muslims torch 100 cars a day in France because of Israel? Do muslims commit genocide all over North Africa because of Israel? I don't think so.
Sure, they want you to think that if you drop Israel then all your problems will be over. That is until they make their next demand.
They eat naive kuffar like you chunk by chunk. |
