I might be a little optimistic, but I feel slightly optimistic about his humble, albeit misguided, attitude. While we had number of Korean leaders that pretended to be dumb, spoiled or just downright insane to ensure that he's position as an heir would not get complicated by bureaucrats and other third-parties. Seems to me that just maybe, he's just a kid nervous about leading a nation. If he somehow can get exposed, if he hasn't already in his school life in Switzerland, perhaps he can be more liberating and competent leader compared to his father. It's doubtful that someone inexperienced and young can radically change North Korean economy like China and Russia, it might be a good start for more stable, realistic and perhaps more open North Korea without exposing too much American imperialism. There's a lot of ifs in already complicated equation, but the Soviet-educated Cold War hardliners are dying out. Who knows? One can only hope that North Koreans will make the most out and do what they can, but it's a challenging road ahead. They are still subjected to foreign influence, from powerful neighboring nations like People's Republic of China and Japan... to their own bureaucrats and third parties with consolidated power through dictatorial regime.
