This is the first sensible statement I've seen on this forum.

The answer is obvious: take all of the Chuck Norris jokes, replace the name with Kim Jong-Un, and broadcast them across NK.

I might be a little optimistic, but I feel slightly optimistic about his humble, albeit misguided, attitude. While we had number of Korean leaders that pretended to be dumb, spoiled or just downright insane to ensure that he's position as an heir would not get complicated by bureaucrats and other third-parties. Seems to me that just maybe, he's just a kid nervous about leading a nation. If he somehow can get exposed, if he hasn't already in his school life in Switzerland, perhaps he can be more liberating and competent leader compared to his father. It's doubtful that someone inexperienced and young can radically change North Korean economy like China and Russia, it might be a good start for more stable, realistic and perhaps more open North Korea without exposing too much American imperialism. There's a lot of ifs in already complicated equation, but the Soviet-educated Cold War hardliners are dying out. Who knows? One can only hope that North Koreans will make the most out and do what they can, but it's a challenging road ahead. They are still subjected to foreign influence, from powerful neighboring nations like People's Republic of China and Japan... to their own bureaucrats and third parties with consolidated power through dictatorial regime.

Best of luck, Kim Jung Un.

Kim Jong-Un Privately Doubting He's Crazy Enough To Run North Korea

While emphasizing that he was definitely completely insane and would likely be even less stable by the time he assumed power, the younger Kim nevertheless wondered if he could ever be enough of a lunatic to replace the most unhinged leader on the planet.

Taken together, the nuclear demonstration and the attack were widely interpreted as an effort to bolster the credentials of Kim Jong-un, the heir apparent as the countrys leader, and the son and grandson of the only two men who have run the country. When his father, Kim Jong-il, North Koreas ailing leader, was establishing his credentials, the North conducted a similar series of attacks.

I dunno, Kim Jong-Un seems completely normal to me. For a Korean, that is.
