I work 20 days per month. I cannot choose the days off. It turns out I've ONLY 6 days off in 6 months including national holidays! If a holiday falls on a weekend an alternative day off is not given. Any opinions?

Contract: Employee will be entitled to observe public holidays and receive vacation days during the contract term according to a yearly schedule provided by employer before the commencement of the year to which the schedule refers. There are at least 10 vacation days in each calendar. Salary will be maintained for observed public scheduled vacation days.

Do I need a signed copy of the contract (only have the emailed version without signature or school name!)?

If a public holiday falls on a weekend you don't get an extra weekday off. Just bad timing for the holiday. Some years are better than others.

Your 10 vacation days should NOT include holidays. You should get a solid five business days in winter and five in summer. Combined with a couple of weekends you can take two 8-9 day vacations per contract.
