Or flies.
There was this fly reminiscent of a bluebottle, but probably a slightly varied genus.
It was on my wall in front of my monitor. I sprayed it, it took a while to die, I felt guilty. Then hoovered it up.
Pretty much exactly a week later, a fly reminiscent of a bluebottle, but probably a slightly varied genus landed on my wall in front of my monitor.
This time I caught it, Let it loose out my window and closed it. They are all closed and some sealed with tape due to a slight draft anyway, so I have no idea how he got here.
Today, one week exactly since, a fly reminiscent of a bluebottle, but probably a slightly varied genus landed on my wall in front of my monitor. It's currently buzzing around, minding its own buzziness.
I like these flies, they leave me alone. they just wanna float around, basking in my free electricity.
I just find it creepy. Did I watch a certain video tape I shouldn't have or something?
Maybe it has something to do with the fly I sprayed even further back, which went crazy, flew inside my light dome thing on my ceiling and died, possibly shouting some hellish curse involving flies in my general direction.

I have bugs in my house. I don't really like them, but I feel guilty killing them. And yet I love meat, especially meat wrapped in cheese wrapped in another kind of meat... like steak-stuffed-chicken-stuffed-spam-stuffed-shrimp. Mmm! |

I have a yard and thus trouble with houseflies. I have no qualms about spreading their brains all over my walls. Filthy little bastards crap all over everything. |

Well I saw the fly in my bathroom, so I quickly opened the window and closed the door and turned the lights off so it would be attracted to the outside world and leave.
Wrong. When I came in half an hour later, it was sitting comfortably on the window pane, waiting.
I got a glass and half-covered the fly, so half the circumference was an escape route out the window. It flew out temporarily and I immediately closed the window, to see the fly smash into the window from the outside.
It then paced around on the glass for over 30 minutes (I gave up checking, it wouldn't leave), seemingly desperate to get back in.
What the hell does it want from me... |

At least back in North America, the bugs have the decency to die off when it gets cold! I've seen flies in January before! |

Same here. My students were killing them in class today and I even saw one outside on my car window in the afternoon.
Stubborn little fellows. |

I only hate mosquitoes and fruit flies that drown in my wine.
I will drink them down to send a message to their brethren. They should not *curse* with me. |

A few months back,
i had a couple of bugs in the bathroom, so I killed them.
Next day, I had a few more, so I killed them too.
etc.
Then on the saturday morning I went into the bathroom and I kid you not, there must have 20,000 of the little feckers covering the walls.
I had to cover the walls with lighter fuel and torch the place to get rid of them. I later found a nest in my door frame. It was so rotten, it was hollow. I can still smell the burning...
Talk about karma... |

Y'what? I never went to creative writing workshop... I have no idea what you're talking about. Please speak with less metaphors.
And for the story above about lighter fluid... shi' me. I was considering torching my apartment down to remove the fly that kept returning but I have yet to see it rise again... Only time can tell. |

Okay smegmatron, let me be frank. Your writing sucks and you fail.
Carry on. |

Ohhhhhh.
Sorry, Frank. I'll take lessons, for sure. My aim and ambitions were always to be a writer. All the Physics and Music I've spent my last few years concentrating on were just a distraction. Writing is my priority, you see. |
