A teen bludgeoned his mother for scolding him about playing games on the 'net all night long.

Seems the gov't doesn't want parents to push too hard:
Quote: |
It is recommended that parents not push [children] to reduce the time spent on games, but allow them to do what they want to do, said Lee Hyung-cho, head of the Psychological Counseling Center in Seoul. But Lee also said, Parents should teach [their children] that even a little violence is violence. |
I'm guessing the speaker isn't a parent- or he abandoned his wife and kids to seek glory in the office (like so many other salarymen do) |

Someone posted this a while back.
Still interesting though, I wonder if Korean e-game companies ever read news like this and feel guilt. |

Someone in America also bludgeoned a 6 month old baby boy he was babysitting to death, because it was 'acting like a girl'. Which goes against Christian morals.
Just saying.
...why is it so difficult to type just saying without trying to go just sayin'. Weird. |

Talk about the blind leading the blind with that Korean minister.
Most Korean parents I have had contact with not only scold their kids but beat them as well.
Yes, corporal punishment in the home is a controversial topic. I am not going to get into it, but it sure seems like it teaches violence to the kid. |

Anyone remember the incident where a baby died of neglect because his/her teenage mother was too busy playing farmville?
I'd link it, but it's been a while since I've read the article. |

When I heard the story, it was actually a game where you raise a virtual baby online. The irony is painful. |
