Last May while I was a public high school teacher in Korea, I got into a bad situation. I ended up spending the night in a police station and was released after smoking a cigarette with one of the detectives. Months later right before I was about to leave, I received a form from a court in Korea saying that a complaint had been filed against me and that I had two weeks to reply. I was going to leave in like 20 days and my coteacher called the court and they said that it would blow over because it takes so many days for things to get processed. I was allowed to leave the country and received my pension, last month's pay, and my deposit. My main question is, would I be allowed to enter the country again/get a new job in Korea. Thank you all.

you gave no specifics whatsoever, so how do you expect to get an answer? Is this a criminal matter or a civil one? If you got a summons and fail to appear, probably a warrant will be issued for your arrest. That is how it works in western countries. So if you come back you could be detained at immigration and then get a free bus ride to the Seoul Detention Center.

As for your visa, I guess it depends on the outcome of whatever legal problem your having.

Also, if it were a criminal matter, why would they have let me leave the country. I lack specifics because everything was in Korean, and was poorly communicated towards me.
