So I have about 400k won to spend on my summer camp. My co-teacher is itching to get out of the office it seems and wants to spend the money on a field trip, perhaps as a last-day event.
So we are both scratching our heads over what locations in Seoul are English specific. So far the best we have come up with is:
English Speaking Tour of the War Memorial
Eating Lunch at an English Speaking Restaurant
My question is: where can I take students to practice their English here in Korea? I'm think the equivalent of an American hoping across the border to Canada and ordering ice-cream in French. Some vital information:
My winter camp classes are 4x45 minutes long each day for one group of students. Basically I start class at 9:00AM and release the students around twelve.
I work at a public middle school in Gwangju (the one east of Seoul). It takes about 50 minutes by public transit to get to Moran Station, about 1:10 minutes to Jamsil and an hour and 20 minutes to Yangjae.
My class size will likely be around 10 students, 15 max (but unlikely).
My co-teacher will be coming in for the day to help me manage the trip, wherever it is. |
