Personally having used both gators and leech socks i would go with gators & if you want to be extra cautious take a bag of salt with you to rub over your boots every so often.

To be honest though, i'm a boy and like the blood letting, flicking and squishing so stopped bothering with anything!

what are gators? do you have a link to a picture? do you know if i could buy them in seoul?

i'm not too grossed out by the leeches (in the pictures i've seen of them, they're all very small), it's more the bleeding and trying to get it to stop (besides leech bites having anti-coagulants, i just bleed a lot!)

and i will definitely be bringing that bag of salt with me Very Happy

The correct spelling is Gaiter

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaiters

and they are available at gmarket
