I live just south of Seoul, so I don't know if I would need to do anything right away, maybe just sit tight, but if something went down while I was at school, would I want to just stay there?

My high school does. They held an evacuation drill where every Korean student and teacher was evacuated from the school and went to safety. I was told to stay at my desk. Razz

Last year we had a North Korea attack emergency drill. The school lit a fire in a big metal drum in the middle of the sports ground. It was really smokey and the kids all had heaps of fun watching the admin/caretaker guy extinquish it.

I have to say. I slept better after seeing how well prepared we were for the invasion.

Good luck.

Just do what Americans did back in the 50s...

In case of nuclear attack, your flimsy wooden desk can be used as a radiation shield.

You'd be lucky if they had proper fire escapes or fire protected stairwells.

Seoul buildings are death traps where fire can easily spread up through the floors and where those same routes for fire and smoke to move up through the building are the only routes out...unless you count that little rope that many buildings have added so that you can rappel out, but good luck trying to ferry an entire school load of children out on a single rope while everyone is panicked and the fire is busy blazing up the stairwell.

Stay out of Korean buildings regardless if they have bomb shelters or not if Seoul gets bombed.
