I have been in Korea since the end of February. I requested and received Form 6166 (the tax exemption) by filling out application Form 8802. As such, no Korean taxes for 2010.
Just occured to me that the tax year is ending, and so am not sure what I need to do?
Do I need to fill out a new 8802 and get a new 6166 for 2011? Should I get two copies of the form (I will be changing schools in March)?
I 'heard' that I don't need to do this, and that 6166 is good for two years (i.e 2010, 2011 in my case)? However, reading through all the forms and documentations this seems a bit suspect and not valid.
