|
|
Hi folks,
Just got an email from my recruiter telling me that although my Basic Disclosure check from Disclosure Scotland is fine for my VISA application, but due to the fact my job is starting in the new year it will not suit for applying for my alien card when I arrive because it is not 'nationwide'.
Now I know for a fact that Disclosure Scotland's checks are nationwide in the sense that they check for criminal activity across the nation.
However before I try and explain that to her, is there anything else she might be meaning by 'nationwide'? A higher level of check perhaps?
I'm really loathe to have to go through the whole CRB process again and fork out another 30 quid for the apostille.
Cheers! |

Obviously she is mistaken, and needs a bop on the bonce.
The basic disclosure is a national/ nationwide check. So long as it is under 6 months old then you're fine. Maybe she is thinking of the local constabulary check.
If you use it for your visa, it should have been entered into the database.
You should not then need another new separate one for the arc! |
