|
|
So I had a last minute problem getting my Aposttiled degree mailed(lost, bad address) for my e-2 visa transfer to a new job.
I called immigration and they said that for 30,000 won they will allow me to transfer my visa to my new employer and submit the apostilled documents at a later date.
She said it's allowed becuase of the confusion over the new requirements(or it was inferred it's the reason).
The Immigration official seemed certain and told me not to worry.
Has anybody else done this? I'm going to Immigration tomorrow and don't want any susprises....worst case senario is a free trip to Japan.
Also, I'm applying for a VISA transfer on the day after my Visa ends since the school had a delay getting their license....the recruiter told me it's not a problem.....again, I'm quite worried some last minute BS will pop up. |

Just be warned, requirements change from day to day and official to official. What one person says one day will be totally different from what another person says another day. So if she said it, the person you give your documents to might not allow it. |
