I was just wondering if a Clearance Letter is accepted by EPIK as a national level CRC. My understanding is that they look into the same database so I just want to know if a clearance letter is sufficient. I'm asking because I recently passed the interview and am in the stage of collecting all my documents for EPIK (My recruiter can't answer the question for me). I went to my local police station and got my Clearance Letter, which took 2 weeks. After googling, I found out that there was an official CRC that can be obtained by mailing fingerprints into Ottawa and having them send you back, I'm guessing, a more in-depth criminal record report. Problem is this, the wait time for the CRC from Ottawa could take up to 3 months because there is a long waitlist, so I may not be able to get it in time for orientation.
I talked to the Korean embassy and they accept Clearance letters for E-2 Visa applications. However, EPIK seems to want the official CRC.
I'm stressing out over the time issue so if anyone could help be out in answering this question it would be much appreciated. |
