Thinking of climbing a mountain predawn and watching the new year sunrise with some friends and a bottle of wine.
Nothing definite yet though |

The big event is the ringing of the giant bell in Jongno. Also, trips to the east coast to watch the first sunrise of the year are popular. I'll probably just get blind drunk at my local exapt hangout. |

theres a big 'meeting' (?) near pohang (city) on the coast at a place called 'o-mi-got' (sounds like oh my god). A lot of people congregate to watch the sun come up over some huuge hands that have been put in the sea.
most koreans will know about this.
I climbed a mountain about a month ago to watch the sun come up. It was really beautiful but bloody freezing! (so take heed!). |
