An estimated 3,000 are killed or injured. Kim Jong Il had just passed through the station a few hours before.

Wow I can't believe the amount of people involved in this - seeing as there weren't many passengers on the trains themselves it must have been one hell of an explosion.

Chances are slim that we will see any video footage of the accident.

I doubt that Kim Il-Jung was in any danger. I believe that when he is traveling by train that his train is the only one allowed on the track.

3,000 seems just a little high doesn't it? 3.000 people hanging out near a remote train station?

Yeah I wondered that too. And how many people can afford to take a train there? I found it hard to believe there's even a train. I though only Kim J used it. Or maybe there's a few and only one special one for him.

It also usually takes days or weeks for the casualty toll to rise. How did it jump to 3000 for an accident that happened 12 hours ago (at a secluded station)?

It also seems strange that fully-loaded gas tankers were headed *towards* the Chinese border, as well as away.

Something doesn't seem to make sense there. It's a tragic accident, but it's a weird one, especially considering the time and place.

When I saw the breaking news alert all I could think of was that a-hole was dead. N. Korea was over, those people would be free, and my life would change (i.e. more English teachers would be needed and hence my pay would skyrocket). I guess that's not going to happen.
