Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know it's the wrong place to ask this, but as someone who spent almost 3 years in Korea, I enjoy the advice from my fellow brosephs and sistabelles in Korea.

I will be a primary (elementary) school teacher at the end of this year, and my fiance (yes, I'm one of those assholes that uses that word) is a Grade 1 French immersion teacher in Canada.

We are looking for a reputable company to go through for hooking us up with high-paying International school teaching positions, anywhere in the world (preferably not Korea, been there, done that). I've been hearing from people that the pay is huge at some of these schools, with accommodation paid for (much like Korea, except higher pay). We are looking at being able to save up enough for a home deposit and wedding money while working overseas for a year.

Does anybody have any experience or advice for working in an International school? Has anyone worked in one in Abu Dhabi or Europe?

Any help and/ or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hong Kong has a great program, they pay well.

It is however highly competitive.

Most high paying international schools require you have Teachers Certification along with experience and prerably some references...hence the high paying part of the jobs....

Good luck.

HKIS? Just go read everything on the Northfield Mount Hermon website and use it in your interview.

Might want to check out this forum and ask a few questions there. Not as active as Dave's, but still good info. Been looking into it myself for when I get my Teacher's Cert.

Be sure to check out Seach Associates, ISS, and TIE Online for actual jobs.

Also, apparently if you're from BC, there's this paticular school board that hire teachers from there to work at their schools. They have some places in China, from what I've checked out. You should also just check out the school websites yourself to get an idea of what kind of place you'd want to teach int.
