Browsing through job postings it seems that the majority of jobs involve teaching children students (kindergarten - middle school).
I was wondering how you think the teaching experience differs when teaching kids as apposed to adults. For instance, one of the job postings (Grade1-Grade4 students) states: "SUBJECT: MOSTLY LISTENING SPEAKING/COMPREHENSION CLASSES" In your experience, what does this translate to in terms of the lesson breakdown? Does the teacher act as a jukebox, speaking/entertaining for the entirety of the lesson?
I definitely get along well with children and have a calm temperament, but I can't say that I am passionate about teaching children.
Considering this lack of passion, do you think I would be better off teaching Adult students? Can BA holders without tefl/celta get positions in adult Hagwons?
thanks!

Yes but you'd probably have to do split shifts 7am-10am, 6pm-10pm that kind of thing. Jobs teaching adults, not university students, without split shifts are possible to find but they would probably want qualifications and experience |
