Anyone done it?
I've read some vaguely positive reviews of their summer camp from some years back. The recruit talked about getting an independent dorm but the contract is saying that may not be the case. Anyway, if you've work this one, please let me know your thoughts. |

I did that one year.
The "dorms" were shared appartments on campus. 2 teachers per appt.
We're talking 2 wegs sharing the same room.
Overall though.. no complaints. Useful little stop gap... |

That's what I was afraid of. No separate rooms? Slumberparty style all month long? |

It was Ok for a month I guess, it didn't really bother me.
You could either buy food and cook for yourself, or use the university canteen.
The main drawback to camps nowadays, I guess, would be the whole visa thing. What is the point of going through the whole massive visa performance for only a month of work?? OK if you're on an F-series visa of course though. |

If you have holiday time and the permission of your employer, E2s can also do the camps with very little paperwork. I know that some camps offer to do the necessary paperwork for E2s to temporarily work their camp (plus trying to convince their current employer to allow it). |
