Season 17, episode 11 of The Amazing Race has teams in Seoul. They had to drive to the DMZ, raft on the Hantangang, get a humvee to Camp Casey for a challenge, get the subway to World Cup Stadium, go to Mokdong Ice Rink or Namdaemun Market for a challenge, go to Yeouido Hangang Park, then finish at the Temple of Heaven (I didn't even know there was one in Seoul).

Challenges involved matching a head band with Hangul to a head band being worn by one of 200 US soldiers doing Taekwondo drills, and a 24-lap speed skating relay race.

I don't usually watch the Amazing Race, but it was great fun watching the teams run around Seoul and try to speak English to taxi drivers. I felt really sorry for them when they had to catch the subway from Camp Casey in Tongducheon to World Cup Stadium...that's a bloody long way!

The Amazing Race was also in Korea in season 4 if I remember correctly.

Awesome. Thanks for the link but after 15 minutes, the players became so irritating, I shut it off.

I love the Amazing Race
The soldier that did a backflip taekwondo move was awesome.
Boring that they all chose to iceskate, would have preferred to see the market.
The crazy guy at the rest stop on the way to the DMZ was very Korean.

The Amazing Race Asia airs on AXN, in many ways I like the teams better than the regular version. They were in Korea last episode as well. They flew into Pohang, drove themselves to Homigot, Girimsa, and places around Gyeongju. It was better showing interactions with Koreans - they had a lot of trouble navigating and spoke to many confused adjummas.

I just watched it. I thought the guy arguing in the cab in Yeouido on the phone was the best, but the two guys that offered to lead the last-place couple up to the DMZ were pretty darn funny.

Don't miss a flight if you want to stay in the game.

Yeah. I remember. And I also remember that the teams' success or failure came down to basically the same thing both times in Korea.....whether or not the taxi driver understood any English or not!!

A friend and I had this idea that if we were ever on this piece of shit show we would wait until they send us to Hawaii, or Puerto Rico. And while the rest of the contestants were running around doing asinine stunts, we'd pop open some beers and put our feet up on the first decent beach we saw.

When it came time for us to be eliminated, we'd say "make us go home."

END RANT.

I heard that once you're eliminated, you can still follow them around and enjoy each location without the stress of the game.

My god, as an American, I am embarrassed at the idiocy of these people. Are we really like this?

The Amazing Race seems to have went the way of many reality shows.....they used to just let semi-normal people enter....now they apparently search out the biggest freaks and drama queens to take part.
