|
|
Hey,
I have a Korean driving license only (i.e. I never had a license back home - passed the test from scratch here)
I need to go home for a few months and so want to get an International Driving License. My Korean license is for Automatic only, but I can drive a manual, - there was a shorter waiting list at the DMV to take the test in an auto, so I did.
My question is if I get an International License on the strength of my Korean license, will it note that my Korean license is "Auto only" or will it look the same as any other international license?
thanks in advance. |

It will be the same as any other IDL. You will be rated to drive a car (no difference between automatic and standard on an IDL).
Oh, and you don't change your DL for an IDL. The IDL is just a booklet that is given to you to accompany your DL and they go together (not independent of each other).

thanks for the info. I don't really have time to schedule a test before I leave, otherwise it'd be no problem. |
