Most of the sites that offer buy and download games online country restrict the IP. Before i try to use a proxy i was wondering if there's any sites you know of that allow from S. Korea. I've already tried Direct2Drive. It allows you to register and input credit card information and even saves it but won't let you complete the check out.

Steam

Also, if you don't like the platform you could download an iso of the game then pick up a cd-key from allcdkeys or a site like it

Yea, Steam is pretty good. D2D is a bit of a crapshoot since you still have to mount it on a virtual drive and all that crap. Steam uses it's own platform. BTW Bejeweled 3 is crazy fun and addicting

Direct2Drive says "Country is IP restricted". I tried GameTree and same thing it wouldn't accept Korea as billing address country. Same with a couple others as well. I'm trying to DL Dragon Age for Mac.

my steam is set up as a Canadian account since I opened it here and use a Canadian CC. But I've bought from korea on gamersgate without issue. Using my Canadian CC.
I've also bought on Direct2drive.. I think.. hmm. I'd have to check honestly, but I think I did. You can also buy from greenman gaming and if you want some older games, good old games is probably also okay.
impulse (stardock) I think works as well

I bought a game off Direct2Drive the other day. It works fine. No need for a proxy. Used a US CC with a US address. Downloaded it without problems.

There's GOG.com (Good old games. like the title says older games)

Stardock (Mostly strategy games)

And maybe Steam 'll work but, I doubt it.

Amazon direct downloads definitely doesn't work. I tried buying some music off of it. Ironically I could buy physical stuff with a Korean billing & shipping address without problems.

I buy from steam all the time with my canadian CC. I've been doing it for about 2.5 years. Initially there was a security issue. Steam automatically blocks any purchases when your payment method and location region don't match.

You can contact them and request an unlock for 1 purchase. I did that off and on for about a year then out of the blue I checked the "save purchase information" for the account and I've never had to request an unlock since. I can buy anything off steam any time.
