I'm considering a job in Icheon (not Incheon). I'm doing research on the area and it doesn't look like that great of an area. I would really prefer a larger city, but finding a job in Korea has been taking so long I'm thinking I might just compromise cause I seriously need a job.

I don't care about finding other foreigners there or western food or bars. The thing that doesn't look good about Icheon is there's no train station there. I've visited Korea before and I was always taking the train everywhere. So how inconvenient would it be to have buses as the only transportation option? How much of a pain will it be to go to Seoul?

Any advise on that or anything else about living in Icheon would be greatly appreciated.

60-90 minutes to get into downtown Seoul (depending on where in Icheon you are).

Great place for ceramics and the hot springs though.

There's nothing much going on here in Icheon, it is a very small city but it's ok to live here. No subway, 1 hour to Seoul by bus, no pain because bus station is just around the city you can walk to go there. There also few taxi's here, if you are stocked somewhere you can call a taxi company and they will fetch you. There's also shopping center where you can walk around, an E-mart and etc., people were also kind...I think there are also few bars around...a lot of cellphone shops (lol)...ceramic festival is upcoming too I think....it's nice to live here in short but it depends to you...
