4 those who've been successful in bringing their pet/dog(-I can figure out the immigration stuff etc.),- I need info on how does one work it out with the school/appartment manager etc.,? Do you have to pay a deposit like in other places? Are most appartments ok with it? etc., I can not pm anyone as i haven't submitted enough posts yet- perhaps you can me-otherwise thorough answers are appreciated

How small is small?

Make sure it's rabies is at least 30 days old and is up to date on it's vaccines. If the dog's rabies shot is under 30 days it will have to spend the remainder of the 30 days in quarantine.

Different airlines have different in-cabin weight limits. It's really pretty easy.

Go here and search for information:

Different people with KAPS might have some help. My wife and I volunteer with KAPS. Many different people with different experiences with tranporting animals to and from the States.

We have a dog that we brought over with us, small in Canadian terms but about medium-large here. He's a Jack russel/Pug and pushing it as a lapdog lol. In any case, bring him! I guess it depends on where you are, but we're about an hour outside of Seoul and we love having our dog here with us. We havent had alot of problems. Alot of people will say that Koreans hate dogs, but I swear our dog is more popular in our building than we are. There are the odd people who will walk on the other side of the road or whatever but its not that often. Just look into getting shots and everything in time for your flight, and try to take him with you on your flight (in cabin or checked luggage). We sent him as cargo after we arrived which was a huge headache! It's limiting to have a dog here, and by limiting I mean we have to make sure we make it home from the bar to take him out Smile Finding someone to take care of him was an issue but you should join the Korea pet-sitting exchange on facebook. We ended up going with a dog kindergarten thats near us for the holidays, but might consider that group in the future. Dog food costs about 14,000 W for a 3kg bag and lasts us about 3 weeks. Vets are pllllenty. Just make sure you've okayed everything with your boss before you come over. We had issues because our recruiter lied and said he'd okayed it with our boss when he had not! Thats a bit of a ramble, I appologize. But if you have any questions please feel free to PM me!

Bring him/her and do not listen to any negative comments for you will be glad you did. If he or she is small enough, book him/her into the cabin with you, it is the only way to travel with a pet via plane.

Your dog will adjust better than you
