Are US Money Orders accepted at Korean banks (KB). My dad wants to send my wife and I some money for Christmas, and I know, from experience, that a personal check can't be cashed at a bank here. |

There are two ways you can do it: 1. have your dad wire the money to your bank account or 2. have him send you American Express Traveler's checks.
Years ago I was able to cash a business check from an American company but that was a one time deal. Oh and a couple of months ago I cashed option 2 at Nung Hyup bank. So it can be done. |

It is possible but you would have to take it to a branch that dealt in foreign currency. Not all branches of all banks do. |

I have an account with KB Bank. I have gotten US dollars at the branch near our house. |

Then ask them and show them a picture of what a money order looks like so they can answer you. Of course, I should mention that KB does not always have integrity and it is better to deal with KEB. |
