Does anyone else hate having to post their resume and picture online to apply for jobs?
Its become normal practise now in Korea it seems. The recruitment websites that hold them have no privacy settings. Everyone in the world gets to view your places of work and qualifications.
And they never bother to take them down! Despite my requests, one recruiter still has my pic/resume up from 2007! |

I hate it. Normally, I put in as little information as possible and ask them to e-mail for details. |

Yes it is very unethical, especially since you've requested it to be deleted.
Privacy isn't a concept that's really understood here, or at least it's seen differently.

It's worse here in China. Today I was moving a couch into my apartment and the door was open. This couple walked by and the boyfriend had to drag the girlfriend away from the entrance after she peeked in and smiled. Another one is where they try to read your cell phone on the elevator. It's not just the feeling of being a foreigner. They do this to anyone. |
