So I am planning my flight for a trip home in May and was wondering if I had enough time in Narita, Japan.
I would be arriving in Narita at 10,25am and the connecting flight is at 11,30am. Is this enough time?
Has anyone gone through there and remember how long it took to go through customs, etc? |

I made a connection at Narita the other day and would not have made the connection in an hour. If you are making an international connection, it is really more of a security check than going through customs. That was quick, it only took a couple of minutes (but looked like it might take longer at busier times). Where you are going to run into problems is that a lot of the international connections take place at another terminal, which the bus to only runs about every 30 minutes. For other flights you also have to take another small tram.
You should check where your connecting airline's gates are and see if you will need to transfer airlines (this is on the airports website). The other thing that might waste time is that for some airlines you need to check in at Nartia instead of checking in at Incheon, which adds another 15 to 20 minutes.
So really customs is probably not a problem, but with just an hour I would have missed my connection with everything else I had to do to get on my plane. |
