YEONPYEONG, South Korea (Reuters) The U.N. Security Council will hold an emergency session on Sunday in bid to cool tensions on the Korean peninsula, as bad weather delayed Seoul's planned firing drill at a disputed border that has enraged Pyongyang.

Shocked Yes, a very good reason to postpone it. As we all know, it is only during warm sunny days that there is a need to be concerned about being attacked by an enemy. If memory serves me, when I studied about the Korean War, they only fought when the weather was good. Rolling Eyes

The weather has been very nice the past 2 days. I agree that South Korea and the US should cool it and stop provoking others. Most of the incidents that's happened are a result of provoking a massively screwed up 11 up 3 down totally 8 the hell up regime supported by China.

I just saw they may wait until Tuesday because of fog. My father, who is dead, was in the Korean War. I think I do remember him saying that all fighting would stop if there were fog, and they would just enjoy soju and kimchi until the fog had lifted.

Enjoying the soju usually brings in a pretty dense fog for me......

Good thing the fog lifted in order to do the drills. It is now going to become too cold to fight. High of -7 C in a couple of days. Laughing

Ouch! R U serious? It was so nice out today. It is Winter so the cold will make it's return. In fact, Korea is getting a mild Winter compared to America and Europe. Europe is really getting a sucker punch from old man Winter this round with holiday travel to a snarl leaving many stranded in public places such as airports. I wonder if Icelandic volcanic eruptions during the past year caused a historically bad Winter? Anything to stop the drills and escalating tension is good for us to continue on as usual. Should we talk about a currency devaluation tactic?
