I'm trying to get into classical music and whatever its sub genres. Is there a decent opera house in Seoul? Does anyone know how I can check up on it, what concerts/performances are playing there, etc?

Thanks.

Also check out the monthly Seoul magazine. They have classical music concerts in their events section:) Plus lots of other great listings too!

I wouldn't bother. All they play here is the occasional V-I cadence that have been played for the last 700 years.

I have yet to find a place that plays classical music anywhere past the 1700's. Anything before the 1800's is boring shite, don't bother 'trying' to get into it. if you aren't already there's no point forcing yourself through it.

People might respect you for having a taste in the arts. but the art is boring, quite frankly. Modern Classical is actually exciting but underplayed around here. The best place for the new age of Classical is, of course the UK which has fully embraced it more than anywhere else has.
