What exactly makes up your credit rating in Canada? Is it necessary to have a credit card in your name for several years? Does it matter if it's a card in Korea or Canada? Just wondering because if I eventually go back to Canada it will likely be important to have a good credit rating. But I can't currently get a credit card in my name here (though I did have one before).
Any thoughts/experience? |

Only a loan done in Canada will be noted on your Canadian credit rating. There is no international credit score for us average people. So getting a Canadian credit card would be a good idea if you want to start a credit history in Canada. |
