I am just wondering what kinds of imports people have found
Here is my list

Heinkien
Becks
Becks dark
Corona
Red Dog (don't know why they import this)
Molson Canadian (at Walmart of all places)
Sapphoro
Asahi
Guiness
Leife

Looking for....

Pilsner Urquell (found this at an upscale fusion bar but no where in stores)
Stella (How do these people live without it?)
Dos Equis (that two X for you non-spanish folks)
XXXX (Only found this at the Outback)
Moosehead (you may laugh but they sell it in Australia)
and any other beers

I tried drinking Korean Beer and its just not for me. Please let me know where you have found the beers also

cheers Cool Cool

Walmart has XXXX export beer now.

Try Hannam market for Stella Artois, Pilsner Urquell and a host of others...

Sorry but this is in Seoul.

Yeah I've seen Stella. You can also get Lowenbrau, Tsingtao, San Miguel, Tiger Beer, Singha, Coopers Stout.....can't think of any others right now but there are others.

I drank Moosehead in Tokyo, so it shouldn't be inconceivable for it to turn up here but I wouldn't hold my breath.

You can get draft and bottled Stella at many pubs in Itaewon now, but it don't come cheap. 7,000 a pint at 3 Alleys. Waaa Bar (the chain) also has good imports like Stella for cheaper (5,000) a bottle. They also have Singha. Mmmmm.

The Galleria near me sells Amstel and Warstiener. Yum.

I saw Stella at a convenience store in Seoul, didn't think it was massively unusual. Best all-purpose beer in the world I reckon.

I hate beer brewed from corn.

There used to be a shop in the Chamshil area specializing in imported beer, but the owner closed up a few months back. A real shame.

Some LG25s carry Kapuziner and other German beers. Check the department stores too.

Carrefour has a fairly good beer selection- at least the one in Cheong Ju does.

I think I know the place you're talking about. It's too bad, we don't want to see places like that discouraged...

Yeah, it was really a shame.

I talked to the owner about it a bit. He decided to pack it in, he said, because of (1) general lack of interest among Koreans toward imported beer; (2) punitive tariffs on imported beer; and (3) the fact that beer is a perishable item and he couldn't get the turnover he needed.

If you concentrate hard enough, you can pretend that Hite Prime is malt liquor.

The WaBar in Icheon has literally everything... but I find it somewhat annoying that a bottle of Guiness costs me 10,000 won.
