Wow, went to make some reservations in hotels and motels in Itaewon for new year's eve. Hotels are all FULL. Crappy motels are charging double. It's a good thing I have some buddies that live there. (lucky sods) I don't live that far away, Bucheon, but still, transportation will be a nightmare.
I was thinking of hitting up that new Craftworks microbrewery and then after that.... |

If you need a place to sleep, go to a jimjilbang or sauna. Be aware that quite a few of those places will not admit drunk customers. |

I've never heard this before, though I've only stayed around Itaewon once or twice. In my experiences saunas/JJB's throughout the rest of the country don't seem to care. |

If you're going to stay at one in the area, expect some potential night visitors as well. |

Every time I stay at Dragon Hill spa at Yongsan station, the drunks wreaking of soju come in around 2 or 3am. They stumble and pry around trying to get your mat, any mat they can find, and the sleeping room gets over crowded so the spa front desk don't care if you've been drinking or maybe those woman just can't turn those guys away even if it is against the rules. |

| Isn't that pretty much standard practice in every big city for NYE? |
