Are you going to Jungno in the centre of Seoul for the fireworks.

Are you going to densely populated streets of Sincheon?

Are you staying at the local?

Are you staying in with significant other?

I don't know what I'm going to do!

Going to dinner and a local with family and friends.

2 things:

1. Get a call taxi's name card and call them about an hour before you want to go home. Try and get an appointment and have them come and pick you up. It costs chun won extra.

2. Be very careful if you're going to the big bell at Jongro. People have been crushed to death in the past. Try to get a view of it, but some distance away so you're not packed in like sardines. Be careful!

Home with Jr. Make some meat sauce spegetti and later maybe a glass of wine (or two!). A book, some tv.

I think it would be fun, and ought to be on some tourists schedule, to head to Iteawon at about 7 A.M after a restful nights sleep and see the leftovers suffering from alcohol poisoning, lack of sleep and half frozen from the cold catching transport and wishing the government not to renew their work visas.

(Not my orginal thought, but interesting to say the least.)

It doesn't have to be New Year's Eve in Itaewon to see drunks around 7 a.m. who never went home the night before.

Staying in, as usual. I never go out on New Years Eve. Just got in the habit back in the states because prices and transportation were always a hinderance.

I'd like to be in Thailand or somewhere warm, and maybe I'd be a bit more social.

Same as Drew. Sad I was going to go out for dinner and drinks with my husband (it's our 7 year wedding anniversary!), but I'm stuck in bed feeling like a heel. My hope is that if I rest a bunch today, we can go out tomorrow night and have ourselves a good ol' time.

Dunno, in Gangnam now, debating whether or not to go to Itaewon, it will be a madhouse there and I'm not too keen on going alone (Hongdae will be worse, madhouse-wise).

Might just stay in my hotel room, get drunk, and listen to proper Satanic black metal? That's what I like to do in any case, although some Taco Bell would be nice.

Will probably stay in, order a chili cheeseburger with extra jalapenos from the hotel restaurant and get drunkers alone though, sounds like a better plan. Taxis will be a nightmare tonight due to weather and Xmas - oh wait, it's New Year's. Don't care much for 'big festive events' that much, never remember them in any case.

I'm getting bitched out by my missus over this. She wants to go out to Itaewon, but as others have said, it will be packed to the rafters and getting a taxi back will be almost impossible so I'm not up for it all.
I'll still probably end up going, because I'm too much of a puss to argue for long.
