Don't trust brokers. They are glorified cashiers whose only goal is to maximize the number of transactions.
My number 1 advice is diversify. Spread your money around. Mutual Funds, commodities, hedge funds, stocks, futures, options, real estate, etc...
Have a little of everything. Put some money in long term investments like Mutual funds. Put some money in short term investments like options. Put some money in safe investments like CD's.
If you are making around 10 percent return on your portfolio, you are doing good. |
