Does anyone have any recommendations for places to buy good quality wool socks? I spent all morning traipsing round Myeong-dong and found nothing. I'm a US size 13 (if that makes any difference).

Also, does anyone have any recommendations for places to buy sweaters? All I've been able to find in Myeong-dong and COEX are things that are delightfully festive or cardigans that my grandfather would wear.

I hope you find the socks.

MY TIP: Most English teachers here (not you OP) need more than socks. Seriously, look around and you will see the worst dressed expats in the world. Well done English teachers, I am proud of us.

For men's clothes i like STCO, Uniqlo has some good sweaters, and Giordano. There's a small Abercrombie store at COEX that you can pick up some good long sleeve/hoodies. Levi's, American Apparel all are ok as well. Club Monaco has some really nice men's sweaters and long sleeve shirts but they run pretty expensive as does CK.

Where's the Club Monaco? In Myeongdong I usually hit up Gap, Uniqlo, Zara, &M and Muji. Lotte Department stores have an assortment of Korean and foreign brands as well.

I guess you overlooked all those Koreans when singling out the expats Laughing
