Seriously, that's disgusting. It's real easy to be a "fearful" country when you are picking on things that are weaker than you, such as Somali pirates or farm animals. Try taking on the North and I might be impressed. But probably not. |

Am I to understand the cartoonist considers foot and mouth to be as "dead" as the Somali pirates.
And to have fled from South Korea because it/the pirate is scared?
This makes no sense to me.
Extermination?
Fearful is right, just not how the cartoonist uses it. Who else would feel the need to revel in an opponent's demise other than he who does not trust that he could defeat that enemy again? |

"Extermination" is surely used ironically, as both issues persist, & "fearful" is an apt & interesting choice of adjective. I grade it not bad as an editorial cartoon -- timely & hard to pin down as to what its getting at exactly, which makes it a bit provocative. |
