Hello,

I am looking for some helpful advice from people who may have experienced something similar to my situation.

I have a great student who I want to help out. He was accepted to a foreign language high school, but he really needs to work on English a bit more.

He has expressed that his main problems are:
1. Conversational Fluency (Particularly a stammering problem)
2. Spelling

I suspect that if we speak together on a regular basis that he may be able to reduce his stammering problem. University was a while ago, but I believe it has something to do with how the brain stores certain things, right? Like in your day to day life things come naturally, it is accessed quickly in your mind because it is routine for you. I believe that is a different part of the brain, then there is some more "Long term" storage for other information you may not need to recall as often.

But, who knows? That's just a theory that popped into my head. I barely remember the class I learned that in, haha. Laughing

Ah! So I was wondering, what materials might be good for some 1 on 1 conversational English? If you have some advice or some materials that you could send me, you'd certainly be helping out this student!

I will be doing my best to research this topic myself so I can help him. I'm helping him for free. So I will not be benefiting monetarily from this in any way. If you can help me, you'd be helping the student.

I appreciate any help!

Thanks.
